THINGS I'VE MADE
and could make for you!
I've been fortunate to work on some amazing projects, both solo and on incredible teams.
Here's just a small sample of projects and specialties I'm proud of, to demonstrate my skills and areas of expertise.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE DESIGN:
Careerminds Core Curriculum
For Careerminds, a full-service outplacement and career services firm, I audited, updated, and developed original content for a proprietary learning system. Essentially, I designed an entire learning curriculum with over 20 stages, including supporting video content, assignments, forms, and resources.
As part of the learning experience, I developed a four-step program called Careerminds Core: concepts that apply to anyone at any stage of their career. This addressed many issues with the previous learning system, where users were left to explore on their own and often grew frustrated at content that was not relevant to them.
In this role, I served as both instructional designer and learning content manager.

EDUCATIONAL TOOLS:
Handbooks, how-tos, worksheets, and more.
Another project for Careerminds was the update, re-design, and development of educational support tools for both learners and coaches.
For learners, I created the Career Exploration Guide, full of activities, resources, and advice to help beginning job-seekers. Using basic learning design principles, I created a tool that turned something frustrating and overwhelming into a fun and simpler learning experience that helped people through a difficult transition.
Coaches were also constantly requesting more templates, but releasing templates alone always resulted in confusion or indifference from users. I created a strategy guide tool for use in collaboration with the messaging templates.
The guide offers advice on common job-seeking problems and provides a link to the templates, which are designed for specific situations with “fill-in-the-blank” sections highlighted in yellow.

ARTICULATE STORYLINE TECH DEMOS
Doing cool things with software
To develop my skills, I've built a variety of one-off Articulate Storyline demonstrations.
These are not full lessons, but rather examples of the types of things I have the ability to build to suit different needs.
One long example is the Cooking 101 program, a multi-slide design and tech demo showcasing different elements of an effective e-learning program.
There are also demonstrations like a sample drag-and-drop, a quiz game, a "memory" style game, and basic multi-tab design.

AUDIO/VIDEO LEARNING CONTENT
I have written, storyboarded, directed, edited, and served as on-screen talent for a number of video tutorials and educational multi-media content.
I've been on-site director, script supervisor, talent/expert booker, interviewer, and post-production designer.
I’ve created audio content and podcasts for a variety of companies, most notably the ProductHacker podcast for ArcWeb Technologies. For this podcast, I provided audio recording, editing, identified license-free music, found hosting services, and booked subject matter experts and guests. The podcast was featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
I have created video learning series with over 20 different segments, and also created specialty learning content such as subject matter interviews, specialty webinars, and other learning support content - including website tutorials and how-to guides.
Example videos written and directed by me can be viewed HERE and HERE. A special website tutorial can be viewed HERE. These were created for integration with the Careerminds Learning Management System.

TRAININGS
In-person, online, somewhere between?
As a trainer, I have developed sessions online and in-person on a variety of topics, using learning models like Tuckman's Model of Group Development and Gagne's Nine Events.
One online training series I designed was for a webhosting company called DigitalCube, teaching customers how to use their hosting product, Shifter. This included writing the training, delivering it, developing interactive opportunities and creating supplemental materials.
I've also developed longer, full-day training sessions on topics such as group development/team building. A sample can be seen below.
